Gem of Advice Campaign
Everyone needs advice every now and then and young people are no different, except that some young people need extra support to make use of those little gems of advice that come their way.
This is a 5 year campaign to raise money for No Limits to provide advice and support to young people who need it.
All money raised will help us to help vulnerable young people to help themselves by offering them advice and support from our trained staff and volunteers. Without it, thousands of young people in Southampton, Portsmouth and Hampshire won’t get the independent advice and support they need to help them make the choices and decisions that could change their lives for the better.
Jack is a young person who has received advice and support from No Limits. We helped him find somewhere to live when he was homeless, get a job and begin to rebuild his life. All he needed was someone to be there for him and to point him in the right direction when he needed it most. Read about our work with Jack in our blog and see how No Limits will use the money raised from the Gem of Advice campaign to help Jack and thousands of other young people like him.
We’re aiming to raise £100,000 a year over the next 5 years and you can help us by getting involved in the Gem of Advice Campaign.
Here’s what you can do:
• Send in your Gem of Advice that might help a young person: it’ll only take 5 minutes of your time. Simply write your Gem of Advice on this photoboard and email your picture to our campaign HQ caryl.eyers@nolimitshelp.org.uk or send us a short video for our Gem of Advice Youtube channel.
• Donate to our campaign as little as £5 can help us reach a young person and a regular donation will help guarantee that young people get good independent advice and support in years to come.
• Come to one of our Gem of Advice events, join in with other people who think its important that young people get good quality advice and support whilst enjoying yourself at the same time.
• Hold your own fundraising event to help us reach our goal. Download our fundraiser’s pack to give you ideas and tools for the job.
Follow the campaign on Twitter(@nolimitshelp #gemofadvice), Facebook, Youtube and Instagram (@nolimitshelp #gemofadvice) and tell your friends to do the same.
Together we can make sure young people have access to the advice and support they need.
