Access to Tenancy (A2T)

Our A2T (Access to Tenancy) project can help if you are looking for private rented accommodation in Southampton or Eastleigh. Our four part programme is aimed at helping you to secure and maintain a tenancy and move into independent accommodation.

Part 1: Pre-Tenancy Training

The Pre-Tenancy training runs over a four week period for one evening a week. The training will cover: what a tenancy is; budgeting and finances; settling into your community; neighbour relations; and more.  In Southampton, this training is offered in partnership with Chapter 1 and the YMCA.

Part 2: Credit Union Savings Account

No Limits has joined up with Solent Credit Union to help you save money, either for a deposit or for household goods.

Part 3: Rent Deposit

A lot of young people who want to rent privately struggle because they don't have money for a deposit. No Limits has access to a Rent Deposit Scheme. This acts in place of a deposit while you save up. To be able to access this, you will need to be linked up with a Floating Support Worker and be able to demonstrate that you can repay the deposit over an agreed period of time.

Part 4: Resettlement Support

There are lots of things to think about when you start a new tenancy.  A Housing  Support Worker can make sure everything is covered when you start your new tenancy. They can help you to take care of all your responsibilities, and understand your tenancy rights, offering you support with all aspects of independent living.
